In support of the upcoming film, Hidden Figures, based on the book by Margot Lee Shetterly, Richmond, Virginia has been selected as a featured city for a private screening of Hidden Images and a discussion on the book that the movie is based on.
This movie chronicles the untold contributions of three African- American women, Ms. Katherine Johnson, Ms. Mary Jackson, and Ms. Dorothy Vaughn who pioneered the U.S. NASA’s Apollo mission. The goal for this experience is to empower youth, especially young girls ages 8-12 to choose excellence on every step of their journey, and to show them how that choice can change the world.
